Wages Subsidy renewed for the 5th time​

1. Administered by MSD / WINZ
2. Applications open on WINZ website 9am Fri 20 August 2021 for 2 weeks initially. Click here to apply.
3. $600 / week / full time employee; $359 per week per part time employee.
4. Wage subsidy income exempt from income tax and GST as is the corresponding expenditure (Wage subsidy income can only be applied towards wages payable to staff).

Resurgent Support Payment

1. Administered by IRD.
2. Business demonstrating loss of 30% or more of revenue as a result of alert level change.
3. $1,500 + $400 per FTE up to a maximum of 50 FTE (or $21,500).

Small Business Cash Flow Loan Scheme

1. Available to sole traders and self-employed to support their cashflow needs who have already repaid their previous borrowing.
2. Applications open till 31 Dec 2023 through myIR.
3. $10k + $1.8k / FTE; Interest free for the 1st 2 years (no repayment required either) then 3% for a maximum term of 5 years.
4. Businesses need to evidence a 30% drop over a 14-day period (Period A) in the past 6 months compared to same 14 day period (Period B) a year ago. Where Period B was also affected by Covid, then compare with the same period a year before.

Short term Absence Payment

1. Available to employers who have staff waiting at home for a Covid test result and those who are self-employed.
2. One off $350 ($359 from 24 Aug 2021) for each eligible worker.
3. Can apply for a worker once in any 30 day period.

Leave Support Scheme

1. Eligible if you've been told by a health official to self-isolate and cannot work from home.
2. $585.50 / week / FTE and $350 / week / Part time employee. This increases to $600 and $359 from 24 Aug 2021
